Meitoku Service held on the 16th of every month

The purpose of this service is to achieve the release of the anguished spirits of ancestors from their innen. These ancestors will thereafter become benevolent guardians and protectors of their descendants.
The Meitoku Kuyo is rooted in the mysterious and sacred ritual of Tibetan esoteric Buddhism. The ritual originated from the Nyingmapa Buddhist tradition. The ritual is based on secret sutras, the “Exorcism Sutra” and “Invoking the Spirits Sutra,” which the Supreme Head of the Nyingmapa tradition directly handed to Kiriyama Kancho. He later perfected and mastered this ritual.
Once you become a member of the Meitoku Ceremony, you will be able to hold services for your ancestors through Meitoku Kuyo at your home. Kiriyama Kancho conducts the ceremony at Honzan or the main temple on the 16th of every month at 2:30 p.m. It simultaneously runs at Kanto Betsuin and other Agon Shu locations throughout Japan via Agon Shu satellite.
