Special Efforts in Support of Education in the World
Agon Shu believes that “education is the key to character-building,” and thus considers educational support for the youth to be extremely important in the realization of world peace, along with religious activities.
Agon Shu has implemented educational support for youths wishing to get an education but are unable to do so. With the purpose of cultivating human resources to serve this planet, Agon Shu has provided educational support in various countries and has yielded exceptional results.
Over the past dozen of years, Agon Shu has bestowed scholarships to university students in Sri Lanka who could not otherwise receive such education due to financial difficulty. This has totaled to over 1000 scholarship recipients to date. Also, Agon Shu has involved itself in constructing elementary schools in remote and rural regions of China where sufficient education could not be provided. To date, ten schools have been built.
Furthermore, scholarship grants and activities supporting education are continuously implemented in Italy, Bhutan, Tibet, Mongolia and other countries.
Students who receive educational support from Agon Shu have assumed important positions in each country and continually make contributions in their homeland.
